the brief
SAINT is a luxury skincare brand identity concept by Studio Ruby Signorelli, a California-based brand identity and packaging design studio specialising in beauty, skincare, and consumer brand design. The brief centred on a skincare brand with a clear proposition, Skin, Simplified, that needed a visual identity as refined as the products themselves. The challenge was to build something that felt genuinely premium without the excess that often accompanies luxury skincare branding.
the work
The identity is built around a custom monogram system, an SA letterform that works as a standalone mark and as an all-over surface pattern across primary and secondary packaging.
The pattern does the work that colour or ornament might do elsewhere, giving the brand a distinctive visual texture without deviating from its restrained palette of sage, slate, and warm cream.
The type system pairs a confident serif wordmark with minimal supporting typography, keeping the hierarchy clean and the packaging surfaces uncluttered. Primary packaging across the cleanse and moisture range shares the same structural logic but shifts colourway by product, creating cohesion across the range without uniformity.
Secondary packaging, mailing boxes lined with the branded tissue and monogram pattern. extends the identity into the full customer experience, so the brand is present from shelf to unboxing.
