Cendre - Luxury Home Fragrance Brand Identity & Packaging Design
the brief
Cendre is a luxury home fragrance brand identity concept by Studio Ruby Signorelli, a California-based brand identity and packaging design studio specialising in luxury consumer goods and premium home brands. The concept centres on a Paris-originated scent house built around a single proposition: fragrance as permanent object. The challenge was to build a visual identity for a brand whose product is not meant to be finished and replaced, but chosen once, intentionally, and kept. The identity needed to communicate permanence, restraint, and architectural precision without coldness.
the work
The identity is anchored by a bold dot motif, a pattern system that functions as the brand's primary visual language across every touchpoint, from primary packaging to retail window graphics and brand collateral.
The dot is deliberately oversized and graphic, sitting in deliberate tension with the quiet refinement of the Cendre wordmark and the materials it is printed on. Where most luxury fragrance brands signal quality through reduction alone, Cendre uses pattern as its signature: confident, repeatable, and immediately recognisable.
The packaging system applies the motif consistently across the shopping bag, the candle box, and brand ribbon, creating a complete and cohesive brand world. The candle vessel itself, raw concrete, sits outside the pattern system entirely, reinforcing the idea that the object has its own material integrity that the packaging frames rather than decorates.
The retail environment extends the identity to scale, with the dot motif applied as large-format window graphics. The result is a brand that announces itself from the street without announcing its name.

The Result
A complete luxury home fragrance brand identity and packaging system, pattern-driven, materially considered, and built to be as enduring as the objects it contains.
